Yes I mean ice track racing.
What tires would you have used for ice/snow conditions?
Right now I have some Goodyear Ultragrip with #18 studs (tires were =
originally supposed to use #13 studs), traction is fairly decent (for =
what you can expect on ice...) however I may try my hand at the Modified =
class where bolted tires are used. I've only setup the suspension by =
eye, but have kept things very conservative, Using the rear as a =
reference, the front have about the same camber. that's what -1.5deg? So =
if I take some out I should get more straight line traction? Also what =
kinds of pressures (tire) would you recommend?
Thanks.
BTW, incase anyone is interested, I placed 2nd in a field of 16 cars =
last weekend in my first real race. And I'm sure theres those out there =
that would be happy to hear I beat all the civics out there, even =
another Scirocco... :) Racing is such a blast....

What do I do for "non-street"? You mean rally? Or, do you mean autox =
or something? Well, to tackle both those topics, my dirt/gravel =
alignment was -2deg camber while on snow/ice I'd run 0 -.5deg camber. =
There just wasn't enough lateral grip to need any more. I planned to =
increase caster via bushings but never got around to it.
Now, I'm no autox suspension expert, but the Monster Rocc will be set =
up for paved backroads. I'm going to run -2deg camber with a tiny bit of =
toe out in the front (not sure how much yet). I'll also install those =
caster adding bushings. They can be purchased from BSI Racing: =

So what do you use for non street?
I've got mine set up with a little toe out (in front), and -ve =
camber of course. Rear is stock.
The midline steering is a little neutral, meaning I can Jiggle the =
wheel ~3/4" either side of center without much movement from car, =
however when it turn the wheel I really like the turn in...

I always align my street cars to -1.5deg camber up front with zero =
toe. I leave the rear alone. Did you get a print out describing how your =
car was set up? Are you sure that your tire pressures are consistent all =
the way around?

I was wondering what settings i should use for toe and camber on =
the front. i got it aligned and they screwed it up, the car pulls to the =
side and the rear always feels like it wants to fishtail. what settings =
should i use? my car is lowered about 2.1 inches. thanks
