Yes it is worth it. I had 16v front and rears on my 77 Rabbit and it would
stop on a dime (got rearended even). The thing that I wouldn't do is to put
any humungous brakes on the front. I had 10.1" brakes on the front of my
Rabbit and since the car was so light they would sometimes not really grab
because I didn't 'use' them on a regular basis. Big brakes need to be used
for what they are built for to get their full potential out of them. I
think the 9.4" vented with power discs or something with rear discs would be
the ideal setup. Then you can still use your 13" snow tires or slicks. And
with rear discs you will still be able to use 13" wheels in the rear. HTH!

Hay i'm thinking of puting on a set of 16v rear disk breaks on my 85 8v.
Now the questions are: is it worth it, what are the pors and cons, and what
all is involved/needed to do this mod.
Thank you
