Was stupid mk1 question. -Now Engine Building

The trick to getting that high gloss finish is to take the pic before the
CRC engine degreaser dries! That engines days are numbered anyway, I got a
RD from my GTi to fill the position, - if I ever get it built.

Which leads me to a question about engines. I want to build this RD 1.8 with
a shorter stroke, and use an Audi 4k or Fox manifold. Will this combo work
with each other to even out the power range, or will they work against each
other?
