My cheap paint fix for my firebird was buying 15 cans of red metallic spray paint and 6 cans of clear overcoat. It took me 6 different stores to collect all that...Anyways, I got one of those brush disks from Autozone that go on the end of a drill and went at it for about a day. Just sanded everything smooth and got the loose stuff off. Sprayed the spots I had gotten to or close to bare metal with primer and then shot the whole car with the rattle can. Did about a zillion layers between 2 days and then clear coated it all the following weekend. Worked pretty well, doesn't stand up to the elements that great though. Looked absolutely gorgeous for about 3 months. Probably would have lasted longer/better if I had waxed the car.

Dan

I have to second Cathy on this one! I've only had mine a few monthes and it wants a lot of attention already. Yes, its grey, but only till i can get the money for some cheap blue metallic paint. I only want it to last till I can strip it all off and start from the ground up. Any body got some cheap blue paint I can snag from them? Other wise it looks like a trip to the store soon. Well the paint store, I make one or 2 runs to the auto parts store every wknd!

Peace Out,

<DIV></DIV>&gt;Repaint it, the silver ones are greedy. Might I suggest red, then it might not
