HELP! Suspension Springs HELP!

Hey all my Mark 1 Scirocco brothers and Sistas (if there are any), I am 
looking for user info on Suspension Springs for my 79 Scirocco.  I want 
a sport spring that will lower my car at least an 1.5" but want to 
retain a decent ride.  Springboards and bricks are not my thing.  There 
has to be a good company or two that handles well without the brutality 
of a high spring rate.  Please email me with your ideas and what you 
have used on your cars.  Keep in mind this car has a 1.8 16V, Lower 
stress bar, front sway bar, and the rest is stock at this point.  I am 
getting close to putting the 16V brakes on my car and want to do springs 
and shocks fairly soon.
