oil leak: oil pan gasket

Dave,
Which gasket did you use?  Hopefully, it was the thick 
rubber one with the metal core.  I put mine on dry (no 
gasket dealer at all) and it doesn't leak a drop.  Are you 
sure its the gasket leaking and not maybe the front main 
oil seal?

|i just replaced the oil pan gasket to my 88 16v.
|lightly sealed both sides of the gasket w/ the grey
|stuff. put it on and torqued the bolts to what i
|thought was good. but im having a small leak. do i
|have to redo the job or can i just torque the bolts to
|spec? over-torque? whats the best approach?
