cooling fan?

<P><BR>I found that my car warmed up to dead on the LED in about 8 minutes.&nbsp; the car had been sitting for 2-3 hours so i dunno if that's enough time to cool down or what, but that doesn't sound too bad to me.&nbsp; I tested the connector again and the fan and it worked after replacing a fuse in the fuse panel.&nbsp; Could the fan not turning on cause my car to almost overheat in traffic?&nbsp; is there any sure fire way to know that it is the switch on the bottom of the radiator? tia</P></DIV>

<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;well mine did something similar, after changing the radiator, my temp rest
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;just below the LED on highway and just above LED on traffic...
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;you might consider checking/changign the thermostat it might not be opening
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;all the way.
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;at idle it takes the car 10-12 mins to warm up to just below LED, when my
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;fan kicks in.

<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt; Hello, i got my radiator into the car (thanks, whoever told me about
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;taylorautomotive.com) and my car runs incredibly cool, on the highway. It
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;seems like it might even be too cool. But, the other day when i was driving
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;around in town, stop and go driving, the car got very hot but did not quite
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;overheat. At this point the car was on straight water, no coolant. the fan
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;didn't seem to be kicking on and when i checked on it i found one of the
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;thermal switch wires was disconnected from the connector, i tested the fan
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;by bridging the terminals and connected the wires, filled with coolant and
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;water. When i drove i found that the car ran cooler in stop/go but still
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;qute hot. like halfway up on temp gauge on highway and almost 3/4 in town.
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;my question is how long does it take people with 8vs to warm up over the
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;lower bar on the gauge, just idling and at what point does your fan turn on?
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;could this be thermostat problem too or just the switch? tia
