running a 16V off cis in 82 rabbit

If he's running it in his rabbit wouldn't he need the injection on the passenger side? Thus no Scirocco manifold, fuel lines, etc...

A guy just told me that I could run a 1.8l 16V off my existing CIS injection in my 82 rabbit. Is this true? Doesn't the injection come from the wrong side and the air box also? I can get one for 500 CDN. It might be a good idea. He said that I would just have to use a polo distributor. Does any of this make sense to any of you guys RYan
