JH 8v knocks when cold

Hey all,
now that temps are dipping well below 20F here, I have noticed in the =
morning when I start up my '84(stock 1.8 JH with 8k on rebuild), it =
sounds as though it is knocking. Not like an insane erratic knock, but =
a constant knock-knock-knock-knock, well you get the idea. What's going =
on? The sound goes away once warm. I'm running Mobil-1 synthetic =
10w-30 if that has anything to do with anything. Thanks to any who can =
provide even the slightest info/help on this-
