manual steering rack q's...

The manual rack is the same part number, the difference is the =
intermediate shaft (remember vw calls this the driveshaft).

Brian, how about the 84-88 Sciroccos? Do they use the same part =
number for manual racks?

Are you sure about that, the Scirocco and the Rabbit/Golf use the same =
rack part number (VW # 171419063) from 77 to 84 according to the ETKA. =
