odd ball question of the day

Hey kids got a quick question.  I ordered a rubber valve cover gasket 
w/stud conversion from mark@AAB and in the bag with the shoulderless studs 
were 4 extra long brass shoulderless studs.  One threaded end is about 3 
times longer than the other and they are a good bit longer than the other 8 
studs used to convert to the rubber valve cover gasket...I was just 
wondering what application they would be for or why you would need 
them???  I have change quite a few vw's over to the shoulderless studs and 
never once had these things included in the bag.  If anyone does know and 
or needs them, drop me a line and I will put them in the mail for ya.
