cross drilled rotors
If you are determined to have a racing look, or if you really do need the
heat dissipation, etc. for racing, then use slotted rotors. They are less
likely to crack, if done correctly, IMO, and they allow the pad to off gas
at least as well as holes. With cross drilling, you also have to worry
about the hole pattern being even, but with slots, the pattern is
continuous, so no problem there.
I will second Scott's voice in that they probably aren't of any performance
benefit for 99% of us. Even autocrosser's don't need them because of the
short race times.
