Dirk,

My Golf GT came with an RD, and I have an "RD" waiting
in the garage to go into Knife (the '82).

The DX has solid lifters (I think - Dirk will know).

It is unlike the DX motor in that it is actually a
non-interference motor (as I understand it). It has
hydraulic lifters and a 10:1 compression ratio. 40/33
valves. Rated at 102 to 105hp depending on the model.
CIS-E injection with KS ignition.

It came in 1986-1987 GTI (8V), 1987 Golf GT, Jetta
GLI, and in some 1988 Jetta "Carat" models.

;-)
