The brake lines on my Type I have rusted through. I've been trying to =
splice a piece of 3/16" line into the rusted area since the lines go all =
the way to the front. I was trying to put a double flare on the OEM stub =
but I'm having trouble with the flare tool gripping the line. Are the =
metric brake lines slightly smaller than a 3/16" line? If so, can the =
tool be shimmed to grip or do I need a different tool?
