=2E but what the hell kind of =
vw enthusiast has never heard of a scirocco?????
That is a sad story, and a Nissan of all things , first, it might be a Da=
tsun
depending on vintage, and second, the lack of total rust should have been=
clue
#2 if they were true car guys. (We have two '85 Nissans in the family, an=
d
rust is a serious issue, as in more air than oxidized metal, lacelike
actually). Heck, even during my "Beetlemania years", before my life chang=
ed, I
knew of the cars. Nice of you to educate the poor boys, better to school =
them
with the engines running. =
But to the question at hand, have no clue, I chatted with a guy who had =
a
beautiful 84 Targa, and even Porsche guys know of these cars. (his car wa=
s
gorgeous, white with gold pearl, the mother of all spoilers, mmmm, yummy)=
Usually it goes like this. From them, "A Scirocco? They're fast aren't th=
ey",
and from me, the "cat that swallowed the canary" grin.
