16v "pill" key

Well, they refused for 2 reasons, one I beleive, the other would just tie
into it nicely. 1) They said they didn't have a steel key wheel to cut it
with (this I can kinda believe since hardly anyone makes steel keys anymore)
2) I didn't get the key from them so that could be why they don't seem to
have a steel cutting wheel.

On top of that, this is the same Jim Ellis VW made very popular by the VW
Vortex forums about a year ago when they tried to screw over a guy that
brought his car to get repaired there and they broke more things and didn't
fix the original problems either. So I don't think they will give two shits
if I tattle tale to mommy about a key. They were nice enough to tell me a
place that could cut it for sure, but the dealer ship is already about 40-45
miles from where I live and the place they suggested is about another 50
miles. Not worth it to me. I still have my original 16v key and though
it's missing the cover, the 16v logo and the light doesn't work, the key
works just fine. Local lock smiths won't cut it, but I've been told about a
lock smith about 30 miles north that should cut it. I've just not had the
time to find out for sure.
