16v "pill" key

They are full of crap...
Have them tell you 'why' they won't do it and then ask them to use a phone 
to call VWOA like Allyn suggested but from their dealership to verify that 
the reason they gave you is valid... Bet you they will reconsider.

The dealer I go to in Pasadena didn't have a problem with it.
