I'm posting this on behalf of a friend, so please direct your replies to hi=

Quoted posting:
Hey, picked up an 87 rocco in North Carolina and brought it up to MA so the=
re=20
is no rust on it. Car runs and drives Strong with 120k miles. It currently =
has=20
a Golf 4spd diesel tranny the makes the car FLY off stops and you could dri=
ve=20
all day long in 2nd gear. Snowflakes are in really Great condition(wish I g=
ot=20
a better shot of them). Seats and interior are in Great condition other the=
n=20
one small crack in the dash. Cool mk1 rocco steering wheel.
Just currently have 6 cars and in mid racing season so I have no time for t=
his=20
car, also I need to make some room at my garage.
Probs:
Swapped in a 4spd golf diesel tranny but it has a 5spd linkage/cables so=20
reverse is hard to find and pops out of reverse if you give it a lot of gas=
.=20
So 2nd and 4th grind a tad when shifting into them hard(because of linkage)=
.=20
Obviously the paint is not perfect, just faded hood from NC heat no rust. A=
lso=20
the PCV valve pipe is split(just a small rubber hose) so it probably won't=
=20
pass MA inspection without that.
I'm located right out side of Boston, I have used the car just a few times =
and=20
once at a local autocross(got 2nd place in stock es!). Asking price is $700=
as=20
is. Or will consider some trades on just about anything(VW performace parts=
=20
for a2s, old camper, Quad, dirtbike, etc... ).
Like I said just don't have anytime for the car right now so come take it f=
or=20
a quick spin or whatever, the engine is worth what I'm asking for it. Pleas=
e=20
e-mail me direct at kancer@978.org if you have any other questions.
