No, you can get quite abit of grip from non-sticky tires with just
suspension work. It could be that your going into the turns much hotter
and its not quite the F1 car your expecting from just doing a rear bar? 

What did you do besides the rear bar? It should be fairly loose compared
to a stock bar.
