Mk1 A/C vs. non-A/C heater boxes
No, fans are different. This is what you will need from the NON ac car:
Box, controls with cables and the vent hoses, including the one for
defrost that is riveted to the inside of the dash. Then you get to make a
plate for both the A/C fresh air thing (passenger side rain tray) to cover
that...and to top it all off, the non-A/C box is a smaller square than the
hole in your rain tray...get to make a plate for that too....fans may be
the same, but not worth digging out the A/C one..it is mounted down inside
the box...where as the non-A/C one is up high, sticks into the rain tray a
bit.
Been there, done that, wouldn't go through the hassle again. heater cores
are the same as far as I remember.
