Still Cuttin' Out Above 4K (16v)

I had a frienfd that had a 16V Jetta that did this.  It kept getting worse
too, cutting out at lower and lower RPM's.  Turned out it was his fuel
injectors. Took them out and had them cleaned and the problem went away.
Have you pulled the injectors to see what the spray pattern looks like?
Maybe they are OK at lower pressures but start streaming at higher volumes.
