Transmission question

Hi Patrick, welcome to the list!

Before considering any type of tranny swap, I would purchase and install a 
shift bushing kit (about $15).  Best sourced from www.parts4vws.com.  Also, 
replacing the tranny fluid with redline MTL will greatly improve shifting.
