I wouldn't trust the product that JC Whitney is selling. Instead, deal =
with Mike Potter of Virtual World Parts. He's at www.parts4vws.com and =
we all deal with him. He sells you the right part the first time and =
doesn't over charge for them either.

Subject: new member, rebuilding questions-
Hey all,
I have an '84 1.8l JH engine i'm going to rebuild. It has 170k, but =
is still pretty strong. I saw a rebuild kit in JCwhitney from Top Line =
for $250.00. Is this a good kit, or is there better anywhere else? I =
was thinking I would use all the components from the kit but the head =
gasket. I would get a more reliable one like fel-pro or something. I =
have like a $1000 budget if I do rebuild, and I want to do it right the =
first time with quality components so please help me out. Also do I =
need any special tools? Any big rebuilding pointers? Please help-
Thanks in advance,
Rob
