DFW shops & a self-machining tranny

My 84 Scirocco fell victim to the 'self-machining tranny' problem a few days
ago and I'm afraid that I haven't the talent to deal with it myself. Any
recommendations for a good shop in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to do the job
for me? And any suggestions of other things to do at the same time as the
tranny repair?
