Scirocco Sighting

I see em a lot around here in the Puget Sound region.  Mostly I see Scirocco
1 models but occasionally I see an mkII like mine.  One's at my college, I
also see a gray one coming from work in Tacoma sometimes, then there is a
few around town.  Most are pretty junky though.  I found this one, for
instance, that looks exactly like mine, a black 84 8v, only instead of being
in great condition like mine it looks like its being held together by twisty
ties :o)  The nicest one I've seen is somebody getting on I-5 from highway
101 and heading south towards Portland.  It was a yellow 16v, nice body kit,
nice paint, nice alloys, tinted windows, and a nice exhaust system.  Of
course it went by so fast I couldn't catch up by the time I got on the
freeway.  Was that anybody here?

I haven't seen any Scirocco other than mine in over 4
months on the road other than the ones at that car
lot.  I finaly seen another MKI Jetta that passed me
and a Gti 16v that has a trashed front end, but looks
good after that.  I think it is for sale.
