Yes, the ABA (2.0 8v) was available in the MK3 G/J...
This block is ~16mm "taller" than the earlier VW blocks.

Are you looking for just the block?
I have a ABA block already disassembled...was going to rebuild it
for my mk1, but found a complete 16v instead...  ;)
