Back in the day, the ORIGINAL, hand-built Pong game was installed in the
coffee shop at Tressider Memorial Union at Stanford University. As 12-yr-old
or so kid, me and some buddies used to regularly ride our bikes over there
and play the thing. We had no idea what it was the beginning of! Creator
Nolan Bushnell (who went on to found Atari out of his garage) also had
another game there called "The Galaxy Game" that was even more futuristic.
A similar game made it to mass production in the mid-70's under a different
name.
Shit am I that old?? :0
