Looking for an original radio for a '78 VW

I'm looking for one for the Scirocco.  I threw a bunch of these things out 
over ten years ago
as "junk."  And now it figures I want one.  I found a wrecking yard that 
has one but he wants
$30 for it- a somewhat worthless to almost everybody radio.  Anyone have one?
