sunroof to no sunroof swap...

They did make Sciroccos (mk1 and mk2) without sunroofs, and they aren't
particularly rare. We're not talking about Corrados, where they only made a
dozen or two without sunroofs. Why not just buy a Scirocco without a
sunroof, and sell the one you have? Sure, it might cost a little bit of
money, but you're talking about a LOT of work here, and not that much money!
It's kind of like resurrecting a badly rusted car when you could just keep
your eyes out for one that isn't rusty. Some things are just worth the
money...

If you're building an all-out rally/race car, and don't care about looks,
just take out the sunroof and weld a piece of sheet metal over the hole.

Neal (sunroof free on both cars..and glad for it!)
