Idle speed

So because life sucks I have to run my car through Emissions before I can
transfer the title. Did it twice and my idle speed was two high both times.
It's a 1986 8v Scirocco. There really doesn't seem to be any screw or
anything like that to adjust the idle. Is there anything that I can I can do
temporarly to adjust the idle? What about screw on top of the throttle body
that adjusts the resting position??
