Sub-$150 stereo recommendations?

I would have to agree Sony products don't hold up and tend to fall apart, as
well as produce horrible sound after a while. I am very happy with my Alpine
setup,
and the Kenwood setup in my bothers car.
I'd avoid Sony stuff at all costs.
