takin the oilpan off

im taking the oilpan off to replace the gasket and stuff. car's not 
running so i migt as well clean/paint the pan, right?

anyways, i'm guessing i should probable seal up the bottom of the engine 
block with a plastic bag or something while the pans off?
might be interesting to find a mouse crawled up behind the piston when i 
go to start te engine!!!
