little rubber plug inside output flange
I had to replace these when I did my axle seals..
Part number is 020 409 289B, cost was $1.55 each after sales tax.
They keep the gear oil inside the diff so it doesn't fill up the CV boots
and cause them to break. To install, just hammer them gently into the
recess.
