[OT] steel types

while shopping for exhuast studs at Mcmaster-Carr, There is 5 choices among material type:

18-8 Stainless Steel
316 Stainless Steel
Alloy Steel
Class 4.6 Plain Steel
Class 4.6 Zinc Plated Steel

I do know that the 18-8 stainless refers to % of chromium and nickel, and that 316 stainless is more corrosion resistant than 18-8, but weaker.  

However, I'm unsure about the differnces in respect to the last 3.  And which one will be the best to use for the manifold/downpipe conncection?
