[Susp.] Mk2 strut housing on a Mk1?

  Getting ready to swap out the springs and shocks on the '77, and after 
looking the original strut housings over on the car, I'm buying new ones 
instead of keeping them. I was told that the only version available is for 
the Mk2, diference being the spring mount sits 1/2" or 1/4" lower. Will this 
be a problem with the springs and struts I already have?
Shocks- Bilstein Sports, Springs- H&R Sport.
