opinions on poly bushings- and where do you get them?

Hey all, already searched the archives on this one and came up with too many results to sort through.

I want a solid feel and nice ride quality(who doesn't?), and I was wondering if poly bushings, specifically putting a kit on the front A-arms, makes the ride much harsher. I am also wondering where you get them? For $22 JC Whitney sells Prothane brand A-arm kits for 80-84 Rabbits and a bunch of other A1's but not one for the Scirocco. I would think these kits would work anyway though(?) Where else could I pick up a set? Well thanks in advance-

Rob
