All you need to change is the block? No pistons or crack shaft or anything
like that? What differentiates between a 1.8l head and a 2.0 l???

the block itself is what makes it a 2l, although there is a 2l head as well.
most people that have done this conversion have just changed the block and
kept the head from the 1.8l
