Yes, AFAIK...

I dunno... I'd line up the crank pulley to the arrow on the lower timing
belt cover, verify that the cam gear lines up, and then check the
flywheel again.

Keep in mind that the crank and flywheel rotate twice, for every cam and
distributor rotation.

Did you have the flywheel re-surfaced? To do that correctly, you first
remove the dowel pins.
Maybe a dowel pin was somehow missing...
