I have studs on the front becuse NIRA requires the use of open nuts, some
throwback to V8 rules no doubt. The track tech guys have never looked at them,
BTW. I don't find them any better or worse than the bolts, and if you plan to
use the VW wheels which have a radiused seat, you can get Honda nuts from the
wreckers and grind the backs off them, they are round seated; we switch
between them and the aftermarket rims we have the slicks on which have the
normal tapered seat and those nuts are easier to come by. But don't switch
back and forth from bolts to studs, trust me on this, leave the studs in, it
is as nature intended. We got the studs from the local V8 performance shop,
they had no problem ordering them. HTH.
