And hmmmm once again.....this is a real puzzler. Bad wheel bearing would
be dragging all the time, so I don't think that's the problem....
Sounds like something may be loose in the steering linkage....when you
apply power, one wheel will "pull" forward, giving that one wheel excessive
toe-in. Jack up the front end and see if you can wobble either wheel in the
horizontal plane. If you can, check the tie rods and their ball joints....

Would a worn bearing creat more drag on one side and cause all the power
to be loaded on the opposite axel thus creating the problem?

Hmmm, well, a severly lowered car can change the angles of the CV's,
which
will cause torque steer. I suppose a raised car will do the same.
Ideally
the shafts should be straight, with minimal angle across the joint.
Hugely over-powered engines on tiny little wheels can torque steer
violently
in a FWD car, see the Saab Viggen as a good example.
But you don't qualify for any of that. Hmmmm.

14x6. I believe tires are 185 - 65 - 14?, or 185-60-14. Something like
that, nothing extreme. Car tracks straight when hands are off the
