cold start problem.. anniliated...found the culprid...
well I got rid of my cold start problem...WHOoHOo!!!
1. changed timing belt (I figured since it was not changed in 8 years I
should)
2. Reset Timing on engine (was 8 teeth forward.. amazed the car ran at all,
my brother, said.. built like a messerschmidt...hehehe)
3. adjusted the "bowl" (I was ~ 1/8" higher than I should of been.. 1.9mm
below lowest point)
The problem remains at this point, but it almost starts properly...we work
our heads together and let the car cool outside ( temp being close to
freezing in montreal...)
Trying to start the car, my brother was listening inside the engine bay he
noticed a weird noise coming from the fuel distribution /injection system,
like something sticking during startup, and once the car ran earlier that
noise was not there....
4. took the fuel distributor off the airflow assembly to check the control
plunger, and found the plunger to have some"scrapes" anyways after
re-buffing it, and reassembly.
The car starts on 1/4 turn of key....it purrs... and it pulls much more
now...
Yes the Tech note will be on the web site... inside of 48 hrs. I promise.

Do you have a local shop that can do a fuel pressure test for you? if so
then go do it (as long as tis affordable). If the test says your pressur eis
too hight hen replace the pressure regulator.
