RE: How do I improve my turn in? A1 Jetta

Lee-
Makes sense. San Diego roads don't have much to deal with in the way of
weather, consequently they are very good. So, this car may be pretty tight
as is...seems to be; no creaks, groans, rattles, etc. :)

The real difference with an upper bar is going to depend on how much
flex the car had to begin with. I could easily imagine that an upper
bar would make almost no difference on a car that had spent its
entire life being properly treated on good roads, but would make a
huge difference to a car that has taken a lot of abuse on rough
roads. I have no idea what the roads are like around where you live,
but where I am we have quite a few awful roads, and by 150k you can
really tell the difference between a car that has an upper bar, and
one that doesn't. Things are so bad around me road wise that I am
about to put in an upper bar, and lower subframe as part of my
renovation project.

The goal is to overcome the deliberate nature of the process.
