RE: [OT] Subaru SVX



1) Make sure it is AWD. The early ones weren't, and they aren't as fun.
2) PLAN on donating a couple grand to the transmission fund every 60k miles
or so. It is a well-known known weakness, it's expensive, and you just have
to live with it. Other than that, they're supposedly pretty
reliable...typical Subaru.
3) They're awesome "Grand Touring" cars. They are sporty, comfortable and
reasonably fast. Not to mention that IMHO they look like a million bux. They
are NOT lightweight, and therefore don't make good street racers or
autocrossers.

Even though it is mostly Impreza-oriented, you can find some info on
http://www.i-club.com. It's the VWVortex for Subaru. Check the Forums
section.
