As someone else posted, you can get dual fan/shroud for Sciroccos, from 
Summmit racing for example.  Perhaps use this on turbo and move know 
good to beater?  Wire up the dual so they go on sequentially?

RE:  Duane's starting/grounding problems

If after fixing the defective lead on the battery/alternator whatever, 
if you are still geting weird gauge readings, clean the ground "roses" 
under the dash on MKIIs.  If you have ever had windshield leak, they can get 
corroded.
And, check the mounting bolts for the starter.  I've had them come loose 
on fSP car.
