Holy Shit! S03s are on special for $86!?!? I'll be buying my set this
afternoon! Dammmmmn! Thanks for the tip!

I just looked at the Tire Rack's site, and found some interesting stuff though:
RE730, (Ultra high Per) rated 3rd in its class by users, Z-Rated, AA-A Rating.
S-03, (Max per) rated 1st in its class by users (with 9.3 buy again!),
W-Rated, AA-A Rating.
Pilot Exalto - (just high perf), H-Rated!!, A-A Rating and ridiculously
expensive
Pilot SX GT (UHP), V-Rated, A-A,. and rated 8th in its class.
Pirellis -- well I won't go there, I don't think you were considering them
anyway.
Bottom line is look at those specs! Sure, we're not driving at 165mph, so
speed rating seems irrelevant, but it's really not. It's a good measure of
the tire's overall resistance to heat at high speeds and overall
strength. The better a tire is designed and made, the higher its speed
rating. If you combine that with pricing, traction and temp ratings, the
Bridgestones look (to me, anyways) as the better value.

It's all what's important to you really. I want the best grip possible on
my car and no noise. Treadwear is relatively irrelevant to me.

Sporty? Or sport? That's the difference between a Pontiac Grand Am and a
Porsche 911. :)

Then don't get a tire in 195/50-15. :) Most of the tires that size are
made for really high-perf driving. Why not stick with the stock size and
go with something more comfortable that will wear better?

LOL, then why do your passengers keep screaming it? (out of fear I
guess...) ;)

Oooohhh you poor, deluded boy! :)
<smack>
I drive about 30,000 miles a year, which is almost triple the national
average. Considering that my commute to work and back is a whopping 4
miles round trip, I'd say that I drive nearly as much as you for
pleasure. You drive 15k miles a year to work and back alone!
I'd also like to stress that I have THREE cars! I can't possibly put
15,000 miles on each car per year. And also, the Scirocco doesn't go
anywhere near places where it would be subjected to the unwashed masses --
no parking lots, malls, shopping centers, city lots, never parked on the
streets, etc. That severely limits the amount I can drive it. The good
thing is that almost every mile I put on the Scirocco is recreational --
none of that sitting in traffic shit or commuting. It's a special car and
gets driven on special occasions, and I enjoy it more because of it.
And dare I say, Monsier Bureau, that if your car looked like mine, you
wouldn't be driving it all over either. <duck> [RUN}. :)

OMG I didn't know that. Well what the hell are you doing? You still have
time! Don't do it! Don't do it I say! Stay out of Texas you poor
Canadian boy! You don't know what you're in for... :)
...all in fun.
