Subject: OT: 2002 1.8T GTI
I was on a test drive at work yesterday in a 2002 1.8T GTI. We pulled
out of the dealership slowly in first. At about 2500 rpm, the guy
mashed the gas and it chirped the tires! And that was with the traction
control on. After the guy left, I took it around the block and tried
the same thing with the traction control off and it started a mini
rolling burnout. Those things must have WAY more than the 180hp/174
lb-ft they are stated to have.
