Re: [1/2 roc] White smoke
Don't know if this will help much since much of my insight actually came
from you : ), but in preparation to do my car (s).....I did a buddies car
last week. We had a similar problem...lots of white smoke and the oil did
have coolant in it. After examining my car, (since the head is off of
mine),...we noticed that the coolant passages on the left side in the back
of the block, (err,..that would be the drivers side if standing in front of
the car), they don't seem to drain when a head is removed. (don't know
why?) Anyhow,...when we removed the head the remaining coolant drained
into the oil passages and visa versa. (we guess?) Our solution was drain
the oil and coolant again,...run the car. We ended up draining again just
to be sure.....no problems yet.
Oh,....shit ! I just thought about this.....you said it was a fresh
bottom end....Therefore no coolant from the past. Shit ,...got me.?
Sorry bro....no help ,
Chris
