Re: Control arm removal --> ball joint won't let go



Take a bigass metal drift pin or wood stake and smack it down with a hammer,
alternating to each side of the strut (left and right).  You won't hurt the
control arm.  I've had to do that to both of my Sciroccos.  From now on I'll
be applying antiseize to the balljoint stud before it's inserted into the
control arm.  I've found that once you break the stud free from the control
arm, it's nowhere near as hard to get free again.
