installing a full throttle switch

I am going through my 81 S and was wondering if the 8v
will benifit if I insall a full throttle switch.  Has
anyone done this to their car?  The car has an 80mm
fuel sensor plate, healthy cam(I don't know what its
but it idles rough) RD block, ported intake (maybe
head too), and free flow exhaust.  If installing a
full throttle switch is a worth while mod can someone
tell me how.
