That's where I removed the material from mine. I took it all off. The
first one I did was so out of balance they would've had to remove to much
material from it to get it balanced. So I did another one. So find a
flywheel that has had minimal material removed from the weight ring for
balance... When you get it balanced have the pressure plate balanced with
it. As far as where the material is removed for balancing all depends on
the casting itself.
